Based in Tampa, Florida, I am a transplant - a dyed-in-the-wool Yankee from western New York state - who grew to hate the snow.
I have pursued various careers in writing over the years, including writing feature articles on cooking and culture for a Rochester-area group of community newspapers, technical writing for a major medical device manufacturer, and teaching college composition and business writing at the University of South Florida and Finger Lakes Community College (New York).
I believe the personal computer is the greatest invention of the 20th Century and social networking is the greatest invention of the 21st.
What others are saying about Patty:
Regarding the development and writing of a technical user's manual for medical equipment:
"The team is very appreciative, and the manual will set the bar for any other similar work done at OCD. Great job, Patty!" Martin Webster, President, ADMS, on completion of a user manual for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics.
Regarding teaching:
“Patty brings a generous spirit and a sense of fun into the
composition classroom, challenging her students to think critically.
However, I think her greatest strength as a teacher is her vast
knowledge of pop culture which allows her to connect with her students.
Patty has a lot to offer.” Marian Conklin
